Reviews and Ratings
I had a mixed experience at this hotel. The rooms offered a great view over Kyoto, but were a little small and shabby. On the bright side, they were very well stocked with bathroom amenities. The service was friendly and helpful, especially in suggesting sights and places to eat. The location was excellent, being above a subway station, near the main shopping area, and next to the river. However, the dining experience was extremely busy. Overall, this hotel has its ups and downs.
My stay at the hotel was absolutely fantastic. The rooms were super modern, clean, and spacious, perfect for the three of us. The powerful showers were a real highlight, reminiscent of something even Kramer in Seinfeld would appreciate. The neatly arranged western-style bathroom and nice amenities added a touch of luxury. The central location was a major plus, being close to subway and bus routes, making it easy to explore Kyoto's key sites by foot.
During my trip to Japan, from check-in to a room with a view, the hotel's rooms were quite small but very clean, spacious, and had comfortable beds. The service was exceptional, going out of their way to ensure a comfortable stay in Kyoto's central location. The location was fantastic, right above the subway station, making it easy to explore the city, and within walking distance to key attractions. The dining experience was top-notch in a room overlooking the river. The hotel boasts great facilities.
I absolutely loved my stay at this top-ranked hotel in Japan. The rooms are small but cozy with a very comfortable bed, offering a great view from check-in to a room overlooking the area. The service from the Bell boy, restaurant staff, and all others goes above and beyond any chance they can, truly showcasing Japanese high-class hospitality. The location is perfect, right above the subway station and near the Kawaramachi-dori shopping area, making it convenient to explore nearby restaurants, bars, and shops. The dining experience was good, with an excellent lineup, although a bit crowded and congested at times. Overall, a fantastic experience with a few minor drawbacks.
This hotel offers a mix of positives and some room for improvement. It's conveniently located near the main shopping area, but the room ambiance was standard for its class. The service was top-notch with a helpful manager and friendly staff. The location is excellent, above a metro station, and ideal for exploring Kyoto. However, the dining options, while accommodating allergies, may be pricey. Overall, a place to consider for its service and location.
I couldn't believe my luck finding this gem! The rooms are massive, more like suites than double bedrooms, with Western-style bathrooms and top-notch amenities. However, booking for two people seems a bit too much. The service was exceptional, making our Kyoto tour a breeze, although some staff appeared a bit rigid. The location was superb, near everything you could want, but remember to bring an extension cord! The dining experience was fantastic, offering a variety of Japanese and Western dishes. Overall, a wonderful stay with just a few minor hiccups.
I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, and I loved looking down at the Zen Garden from the window. The showers were superbly powerful, just like something out of a scene from Seinfeld! The room was spacious, fresh, and incredibly quiet, offering a perfect retreat after a day of exploring the city.
The hotel offers fine, adequate-sized rooms with a beautiful view, a large bathroom, and friendly staff. The central location is convenient for exploring Kyoto but suffers from occasional noise disturbances. Dining at the hotel provides a diverse culinary experience, though some meals may be pricey. The facilities are modern and well-maintained, enhancing the overall stay.
I had a great stay at this hotel. The room was spacious, fresh, and quiet, feeling more like a suite even though I booked a double bedroom. The comfortable chairs and large desk were a nice touch. However, the rooms are showing their age.
